600S skeleton movement

Measuring only 3.5 mm thick, the 600S skeleton movement is an ultra-thin hand-wound mechanical movement. In an echo of its predecessor the 600P movement, featuring the world's thinnest tourbillon carriage, this movement is distinguished by its aesthetic command. The visual effect it produces is accentuated by the presence of the stylised "P" of Piaget. The asymmetry of the design required meticulous adjustments in order to respect the balance of the whole movement. In what is a genuine technical feat for an ultra-thin movement, its bridges and its mainplate were drawn as far as possible, then guilloched, thus creating a uniquely refined design with a guilloché sun-burst motif shining out from the centre of the carriage, reminiscent of the sun's rays and the divisions of time. The 600S skeleton movement is also equipped with a power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock. Directly positioned on the mainplate, it complements the extraordinary visual and technical ambition of this prestigious movement.
