Suspended from one end of the minutes hand, the flying tourbillon carriage appears to be disconnected from the base movement driving it. The hours are indicated by a central disc, while the tourbillon carriage is swept along in the rotation of the minutes hand. Representing a powerful demonstration of know-how and cutting-edge technology, the three bridges of the tourbillon carriage are crafted in titanium, a particularly resistant and light-weight material. Composed of 42 parts, the carriage – which spins on its axis once per minute, in addition to the hourly rotation around the dial – weighs a mere 0.2 grammes!
